The mission of Fruita Monument High School is to lead all students to reach their individual potential by rigorously pursuing and evaluating achievement of high academic and ethical standards in a disciplined and nurturing environment.

       A Message From the Principal:

Greetings Wildcat fans, parents and supporters,

As fall in Western Colorado emerges, Fruita Monument students and staff are busily involved in a wide variety of activities. School Spirit is high as our students pour out to support our teams and show Fruita Pride. Our goal is that every student will find a group where he or she can participate in positive experiences and give back to their school and community. It is important to note that there is a high correlation with high achieving students and involvement in extracurricular activities such as; Fine Arts – Band, Art, Orchestra or Choir, Athletics, FFA, service clubs and many other organizations. Encourage your child to find a club to get involved with or to be part of a team. There is something purposeful for every student at Fruita Monument. Check the FMHS website to see the more than thirty clubs available to students.

The first week of October brings the much anticipated homecoming week and all the festivities that come with it. This year’s theme is “Journey”. Student Counsel has scheduled many fun activities all week. I am excited to welcome the community to our first drama productions for the school year. The FMHS Drama Club will be performing “Don Quixote: The Reboot You Didn’t Ask For.” The story follows the adventures of a nobleman who reads so many chivalric romances that he loses his sanity and decides to set out to revive chivalry, undo wrongs, and bring justice to the world, under the name Don Quixote de la Mancha. Show times are set for 7pm on October 12, 13, 14.

Thanks for your continued interest and support!
