Cultivating innovation, achievement and passion through a learner centered environment

       A Message From the Principal:

Dear FMHS Family,

It’s been a quick but amazing first semester.  This year, the semester ends on December 22 so we are running right up to the holidays. PLEASE avoid pulling your student from school early.  Final exams will be Thursday (Periods 1, 3, 5, 7) and Friday (periods 2, 4, 6, 8), Dec. 21-22.  Students will have access time from 1:25pm – 2:50pm on both days to work with teachers, complete make-ups and test retakes.  It is important that students take advantage of access time as well as after school tutoring in the library from 3pm-5pm (Monday through Thursday) between now and finals.

There are many festive holiday concerts, events and performances coming up this month. Our Wildcats are preparing to represent FMHS on the the basketball courts, wrestling mat and swimming pool again this year for what should be an outstanding winter sports season. Don't miss out on a chance to be a part of the amazing high school atmosphere that our students and community provide. Please watch the calendar of events and support our Wildcats this winter.

This time of year can be tough. . . It’s getting cold outside, finals are around the corner and the holidays can add to the stress. Being a teenager is already challenging, and being the parent of teens is even MORE challenging! This time of year, it is a GREAT time to pull back and appreciate all the positives around us.  We are so fortunate at Fruita Monument to have an incredibly supportive staff and community to go along with a student body that values education.  Thank you for your continued support.

Wishing you and yours a peaceful and joyful holiday season.
